The One Economy AmeriCorps VISTA Program strives to develop systems, procedures, strategies, and collaborations required to support a low income community’s adoption of the Internet.
The Results
One Economy’s first AmeriCorps VISTA was placed in 2006 with AT&T AccessAll program partners. Since then One Economy has placed 82 VISTAs and Summer Associates in 18 states. Together One Economy VISTAs have recruited over 4,000 volunteers, leveraged over $1.9 million of financial resources, served over 3,700 disadvantaged youth, and brought in over $2.7 million worth of in-kind donations.

• 24 VISTAs were placed.
• 730 community volunteers were recruited by VISTAs.
• $39,920 in financial resources were leveraged into
communities by VISTAs.
• $551,742 of in-kind resources were leveraged into
communities by VISTAs.
2008 :
• 27 VISTAs were placed.
• 1,784 community volunteers were recruited by VISTAs.
• $1,217,420 in financial resources were leveraged into
communities by VISTAs.
• $1,814,830 of in-kind resources were leveraged into
communities by VISTAs.
2009 :
• 31 VISTAs were placed.
• 1,003 community volunteers were recruited by VISTAs.
• $760, 975 in financial resources were leveraged into
communities by VISTAs.
• $603,800 of in-kind resources were leveraged into
communities by VISTAs.
